Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions that I get asked. Please know there is no such thing as a silly question! If you cannot find the answer below please feel free to contact me. 

Q: Are you qualified to take my pictures? 

A: Yes. I have over 10 years experience in Photography including photo reconstruction (old damaged photos). I have managed a specialized photography print lab in Queensland.  Over the years I have spent time investing in my skills with qualifications and by being mentored by other professional photographers. 

Q: Are you insured? 

A: Yes, I have public liability and equipment insurance so there is not issues if a child knocks anything or anyone is injured during your shoot.  

 

Q: What do you recommend that we wear for our portrait session?

A: I recommend that you wear clothing that makes you and your family feel comfortable and good. Dress up or dress down it's about creating authentic memories. I will say, avoid too many patterns or bold designs in your clothing as they can unbalance your images, picking a colour palette for you and your family works well . 

 

Q: Can we bring a couple of outfit changes to our session?

A: Yes, of course you can!  Bring along some toys that are loved as they are fantastic to encourage young ones to look at the camera. 

 

Q: What is on the USB drive included in our package?

A: The USB has high resolution images which are ready for you to print. Please make sure you tag or mention Echo Photography Studios when you share your images to social media sites such as Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. Please do not alter, edit or re-crop any images that you are provided with on your USB drive.

 

Q: Can I use these images in competitions or in any form of media?

A: Yes, as long as written consent has been given by Echo Photography Studios and credit is given to the company and Sylvie Maloney for the image. If the image is to be used in a competition please check the terms and conditions of the competition before seeking permission to use the image as some competition.

 

Q: What happens to the images that aren’t in my gallery?

A:  Unfortunately not all of your images from your session will it into your gallery. The reasons for this could be someone had their eyes closed, or  it just didn’t meet my high expectations and standards I have for your images – after all you do only want the best images. If they don’t make it to the gallery then there is generally a very good reason as to why they didn’t and those images will never be released.

Q: How long after our session will we receive our images?

A: Depending on my current workload your USB drive can take up to 6 weeks from the date of your portrait viewing which I will organise with you at your portrait session. This does not apply to Weddings which will take longer after all I am a one woman show. 

Q: How do I book my session?

A: Write to me through this website or contact me on Facebook or Phone if you would prefer. You will be required to pay a deposit to hold your time. The rest of your invoice can be paid before or at your session. 

 

Q: I don’t live in Parkes NSW, do you charge extra to travel to me?

A: No, if your chosen portrait location is within a 50km radius of  then my travel costs are included in the price of your package. If the location is outside this then an individual quote for travel will be provided.

 

Q: Do you do gift vouchers?

A: Yes. You don’t even have to give the full amount of a package. You can gift someone any amount you wish for them to put towards a package of their choice.
